Pastor Ian Hodge

If you come to our church in Lemon Cove, you'll almost certainly see me.  You'll see me up front, delivering the good news of God's word; in the front pew, singing praises to God with the church; or at the back of the sanctuary, greeting you as you come and go.  But what I want you to know about me is that I'm not the head of the church - only Jesus is head.  I'm not the executive in charge - human authority lies with the session (elder board).  I'm just a regular human being, redeemed by the blood of Jesus for God's glory, with regular human gifts and abilities, but empowered by the Holy Spirit just the same as all of God's people.  And that is why I want to invite you to Lemon Cove.  Because we are only ordinary people, changed and being changed by the cross of Christ, we need you.  We aren't enough on our own, nor are you enough on your own.  Come, worship with us, grow with us, and serve with us.

Now that you know my heart, let me give you a little background.  I am originally from the Seattle area, but married an Exeter girl and fell in love with the valley as well!  We now have four children, and live just down the street from the church in Lemon Cove.  I earned my BA from Biola University and my M.Div from Talbot School of Theology.  I am thrilled to be a part of ECO: a Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, and pastoring Lemon Cove is one of the greatest privileges of my life.  If you come visit, make sure to say hello to me... if I don't find you first!
